Remedial Compliance Sergeant

Compliance Sergeants are responsible for oversight of Jail Division Programs and Services and operation of compliance; for example, maintaining statistical data, all consent decrees and reviews of policies and procedures to ensure compliance, and addressing all jail-related legal matters with Captains and County Counsel.

As the Detention Bureau grew in the incarcerated persons population and staff, we needed more accountability and a more practical way to ensure that all policy and procedures are being followed and if not, correct the problem.

We encourage the citizens of Fresno County to make appointments to tour our facilities and see what programs and services we provide to the incarcerated persons and the citizens of Fresno County.
